The Area »

The Western Cape is without question one of the most pleasant places to live in South Africa, if not the world. The region's Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters; its varied landscapes of dramatic mountains, beautiful beaches and rolling hills; and its unique floral kingdom - all these make it a paradise for those who enjoy nature.

The Lifestyle »

Golf club members will have access to a course designed by the famous Peter Matkovich and currently rated No.4 in the Western Cape and No. 24 in South Africa (2007 Golf Digest Rankings). Overlooked by the towering Helderberg Mountains and surrounded by rolling vineyards and orange groves, there are testing water features and classic golf holes with the most spectacular backdrops.

The Estate »

On the southern boundary of the municipality of Stellenbosch, neighbouring the Spier Estate, is a hundred-hectare tract of land made up of three wine farms, Kleine Zalze, Die Vleie and Grootte Zalze, each of which was created by land grants to Dutch settlers in the late 1600s.

The Clubhouse

The new clubhouse is definitive of the distinct architectural character which will develop as the Estate grows.

The Architecture »

Sustainability - a key value of the Estate can only be maintained in a context which clearly recognises the finite nature of all our resources, from available space for development, through to our building materials, energy requirements and agriculture.

Investment Opportunity »

De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate is, quite simply, unique. Located in the rural tranquillity of the Cape Winelands, no other real estate in the Western Cape offers residents as rich a combination of scenic beauty and architectural integrity with sporting, outdoor and cultural advantages.
